- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆They failed to pick up my outgoing mail a couple months ago, even though the flag was clearly up. I didn't worry too much about it at the time (though I don't try to mail from my mailbox anymore). After the latest problem, however, I'm upset. I had something that needed to be mailed ASAP, and only about 35 miles from here. I went by the post office Friday afternoon (Well before the posted cut off time) and dropped it in the blue collection box right outside the P.O. door. They didn't ship it out Friday like they should have. Then they didn't even ship it Saturday! It didn't leave the San Juan bautista P.O. until midday Monday... almost 72 hours after it should have left the facility. There is no excuse for this except a poorly managed P.O. with lazy uncaring workers. I am not comfortable mailing anything from my own town anymore.By jesse banwell, September 18, 2017
